Boogie Sid's real name and background
Sydney Lebogang Nzala. He grew up in Francistown, and his love for music was ignited at a very young age. He started off by sampling beats from his uncle’s LP wide collection which groomed his career today. It is safe to say his lengthy career dates back from the 1990s as he had a support from his friends.
After buying his first equipment in 2002, he started entering competitions such as The Lovers Plus DJ Competition, Sprite DJ Competition where he won as the national champion in Gaborone. And many others
He has shared the spotlight with heavyweights namely DJ Fresh, DJ Ski, Rocco, Culoe De Song, Oskido, and Franck Roger from Real Tone Records.
In the year 2007 he worked with Sinewave Productions to produce his debut and critically acclaimed album 'The New Movement'. It has gained popularity and the radio play proves so.
Boogie Sid has also worked with a very talented and versatile local DJ Kenzo. Together they fused hip-hop, house and classic sounds, which in turn became a contributor to Boogie Sid's versatility.
