We know that now is an amazing time for women to band together. Women around the world are organizing more and more ways to empower and support each other. Local empowerment brand, SKY Girls, is one of these organizations aiming to inspire the next generation of teen girls.

SKY Girls BW had their second teenage festival dubbed SKYchella this weekend. The day festival was held this weekend in Gaborone. Thousands of teenage girls came together to celebrate staying true to themselves and to express themselves through fashion, art, music, poetry and dance.

“There are not many safe, fun and free experiences for young people so we are proud that we can provide that, and we want as many as possible to attend,” said Tapiwa Mlambo, SKY Project's Manager.

Local celebrities and SKY ambassadors, Sadi Dikgaka and Kefus Leo were on hand as hosts alongside performances by a few of our fave acts.

South African musical sensation and the much-anticipated headliner of the day, Sho Madjozi sent a shout out to fans ahead of the event.
