If people aren't hacking their accounts they're trying to scam celebrities out of their hard earned cash.
Yep, it's wild out here.
Pearl Thusi recently shared on Twitter how she almost got scammed on WhatsApp by someone pretending to be DJ Sbu.
In a funny tweet, the actress shared how someone tried to scam her using DJ Sbu's number and that she immediately blocked them.
The actress was also not afraid to expose the person on social media and took screenshots as evidence.
In the chat the scammer proceeds to use incorrectly structured sentences while speaking to Pearl and enquiring as to why she didn't sign up for the Motsepe Easter Festival. The chancer further went on to ask for "Miss Lira's digits".
Anyway, Pearl was wise enough to ask questions on why she had to pay to register for this festival.
The scammer seemed agitated by her questions that he or she ended up blocking Pearl.
What a chancer!
It's ridiculous how people are always working towards scamming people from their hard-earned money.
Glad to see that Pearl saw the B.S from a mile away.
