Former Miss Botswana 2nd Princess Naledi Willers has been a firm fan favourite since 1Magic premiered the Real Housewives of Johannesburg, following a close second to our dahling Evodia Mogase

The former beauty Queen let cameras follow her into her life as a law student, socialite and the wife to Metro FM’s The Naked DJ, a decision she said she initially struggled to make and adjust to.

“I am actually a very private person, so I never considered doing something like this at all. I needed a little convincing, but with the support of my family, I said yes,” she said in an interview with IOL.

“It’s funny because I could be having a conversation with one other person, but I am really not because there are cameramen around, sound guys and even lighting guys. So that took some getting used to,” said Willers.

Building on the global success of its hit franchise, The Real Housewives, NBCUniversal International Formats signed its 13th international deal for the reality show with leading broadcaster M-Net in South Africa.

The Real Housewives of Johannesburg is the latest addition to the award-winning franchise, which launched in 2006 with The Real Housewives of Orange County. To date, there have been nine US versions of the series, including Beverley Hills, New York, Atlanta and Miami, and international versions include Cheshire, which is in its seventh series on ITVBe in the UK and Melbourne, which is in its fourth season on ABC’s Arena in Australia.

The women of the cast  include Evodia Mogase, the Madame, originally from Soweto, who started off as a teacher, moved on to  owning a catering business and is now a "vegetation" expert, described as "warm and talkative". Evodia's daughter, Mercy Mogase, described as a "bubbly health fanatic" who studied mechanical engineering and is a motivational speaker. Brinnette Seopela, described as "warm and charming" is a beauty entrepreneur who owns a spa and is apparently "the glue that holds the housewives together" and Christall Kay, originally from Durban, who is a former lawyer turned businesswoman "with ambitions of becoming a superstar" alongside Naledi herself.

Evodia's ongoing feud with Christall Kay seems to be the meat of the show this season. Every episode brings a new dragging and if the Twitter feed is anything to go by, the show will definitely have enough ratings to come back for a second season of slayage and sass.
