From the inception of Kerekang's career in apparel the mission has always been clear - To provide world class quality from a home grown vision and a place for those who like the finer things in life to have access to a level of sophistication not previously associated with anything "local" in the way the term is used to mean "substandard".
Well, it seems there was a very real gap in the market because KeNo made bank and more, even appearing in Forbes Africa for a feature spread, and has been followed by the Spana Mfana line.
Nako Time pieces are a luxury watch brand that seeks to carry forth the vision that birthed KeNo. But for some reason, people forget that one has to pay for luxury. It's luxurious for a reason.
The cost of the watch has had a few people up in arms for what seems to be two reasons.
Firstly, the notion that watches can't/shouldn't be that expensive.
Second, that nothing "local" should be outside of their reach (financial or otherwise).
That got gathered up real quick though.
In life, it's always best to punch within your range.
Congratulations to Thobo and his team. This is a phenomenal feat.
