Local comedian and apparently, viral sensation as well, Mjamaica recently did a skit for Cassper's #FillUp promo and that in turn got a lot more people looking into his catalog to see just what his brand of comedy is. William Last KRM has his own thing, Ntsoro had his, so it's only reasonable to want to look into the work of someone who's worked with such huge brands as Orange and Cassper Nyovest.
One doesn't even need to look that far before they end up turning back though, it seems. A quick YouTube search reveals a list of what might assume are some of his greatest hits and collaborations, shot by Jack Bohloko. Don't Judge The Book By It's Cover, second on the list, has viewers up in arms, and with good reason, might we add. Released halfway through the year, the "skit" relays the story of a guy who wants a girl, and yet is rebuffed at every turn. He then decides to get "payback" for it and proceeds to break into her house, attempt to rob her, and rape her.
It's only right to assume that anyone who would make the effort to align with Mjamaica has seen this, right? People don't blindly pick creatives to partner with. There's research done, so it's safe to assume that someone on Cassper's team, or Cassper himself, would have seen this, right? And yet here they are, working with him.
As for Mjamaica, Jack Bohloko and everybody else involved with the production ad distribution of that video - It's safe to assume they meant that message. People don't put in that much work for banter, when banter is what pays their bills. So it seems, Mjamaica and his crew think rape is funny and justifiable. And these are the people being hand picked to secure the bag, and be in our faces. What a time.
