How Baby Cele went broke

How Baby Cele went broke

More often than not the entertainers we grew up watching and listening to end up destitute, due to a combination of shady contracts, financial illiteracy and simply making hasty decisions because where you're headed seems so much better than where you are.

And it's not just an "old head" issue either. Most recently Fifi Cooper basically lost everything after leaving Ambitiouz Entertainment and Pro Kid apparently had people crowdfunding for his funeral and family.

Baby Cele has a career in entertainment that spans over two decades, from acting on the world-renowned stage production - Sarafina, to appearing on shows like Backstage, Home Affairs & most recent - Uzalo. She's done so much work it's hard for most people to pinpoint just WHERE they know her from.

But all that went down the drain at some point in her life.

"People don't know that I got my house and car repossessed because I didn't have money, luckily I was able to get myself back on my feet again."

The actress shared that the reason behind getting her possessions taken from her is because her finances were in shambles, despite the fact that she used to make $500 a week from her role on Sarafina back in the 80's.

According to Isolezwe, Baby Cele had attended a dinner conference hosted by Ukhozi FM's Dudu Khoza titled Dinner with Dudu where she divulged on how she misused her finances to such an extent that it led to her car and house getting repossessed by the debt collector.

Well, we guess she was paying her taxes while "balling outrageous" as the kids would say, because the Tax Man didn't come collect what's theirs and lock her up.  Unlike another fave we dare not mention, but stan either way.
