It seems the DJ is facing arrest over a large sum of money that he owes to festival organisers who had booked him to perform, but Heavy K was a no show.
In 2017, the DJ was paid a fee of over R87,000 to perform at the Morobosi Festival at Raselwa Farms in Tswapong Hills in 2017. Heavy K did not make it to the gig and since then, Morobosi Entertainment and Bakgopeng Scientific have been trying their best to get him give the money back, but without much success the organisers have involved the law.
According to a report in this week's IOL, the court order for the DJ's arrest is out and it reads:
"The respondent [Heavy K] be arrested suspectus de funga in order to allow the applicant time to pursue action against them. The order contained in paragraph 2 above shall operate as an interim order pending the return date.”
Read more on what the court order says about Heavy K's arrest.
Heavy K responded to the matter and it seems he is not bothered at all because he believes he is innocent and is dismissing the veracity of these claims.
So whose side of the story are we going to believe in?
