We went through the collections for you and got an idea of what may be the biggest trends of the next season....
Leopard Print On Everything!
The streetwear collections all had a touch of the wild side. Leopard print's comeback is nowhere near over with the trend now even crossing over in to menswear. Get it in everything and in every colour! Bags, shoes, suits and whatever else. This trend is back with a vengeance.
Bucket to Brim
The Bucket Hat, as we call it now, is a staple in African fashion so we can't say this trend is new, just slightly updated. We're going from bucket hats to hats that are very similar just with a slightly wider brim. They're not sun hats either, though. This just adds a bit more attitude and drama to the look.
Another trend that's only picking up steam is fringe. There was fringe all over both the men's and womenswear collections. There was fringe trim on jackets, fringe neckpieces, fringe skirts and much more.
The trend that many may refuse to accept isn't going anywhere either. Men's fashion brands explored a bunch of varying kinds of more "feminine" silhouettes. It was great to see more designers reference the old days when people realized that it's just fabric that anyone can wear.
The exaggerated ruffles and feathers got more dramatic this season. The designers like Gert-Johan Coetzee and Clive Rundle used these to add as much sophisticated drama as they could into each piece.
