Kast Tlatsalebala “Stalione” last week canceled his 2019 3000km walk campaign to fund the establishment of the Botswana Arts School after many Facebook users accused him of using the campaign as a way of getting some extra money from sponsors.
In his statement on his Facebook page, the singer wrote that he will not walk the 3000km for this year's campaign because of people's misconceptions.
Here is what he said on his Facebook page:
One Facebook user commented on Kast’s statement and said ‘Kast what did you do ka madi a walk ya ntlha? U said u were promoting BW music...How did other musicians benefit from your walk takin into consideration your theme? If u were to be audited a madi ao a ka itlhelwa mo accounten ya campaign....kana u have used the money for ur personal things...The reason y u didn't get the support last year n u may not even years to come is pple/artists doubt ur accountability.’[sic]
Another Facebook user wrote ‘Learn to du what u preach sir nna kana gake bone idead ya gorr o thusa di artist ka eng u only du this to put money on ur pocket,’
Kast started his Kast Tlatsalebala campaign in 2017 when he walked 1000km.
Last year he walked 2000km and this year he was targeting to walk 3000km.
