His birth name is Tshepang Motsisi, but he is better known as Izzy. Having worked his way up in the entertainment industry, he is a multi-award winning radio and club deejay, entreprenuer and philanthropist. His artistry was recognized in 2012, when he was voted best radio presenter at the MISA media awards and he also received an award with Vision 2016 under the United and Proud Pillar.
At Yarona FM he talked to great legends in the music industry like Scar and even those from our neighbours, South Africa, such as Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest. His life of being a deejay has been all about giving back to the community.
DJ Izzy managed to build the DJ academy an initiative to unearth talent amongst the youth of Botswana. The whole purpose of the academy is to formalise the djing industry and it also focuses on other branches of the music industry by giving courses such as recording, music business, song writing, playing instruments and entertainment industry education to all those that enrol with the academy.
However, at the end of last year, the DJ said goodbye to radio and we not so sure where he has since placed his talents. We sure wherever he is, he’s killing it.
Not only is he good on the decks, but we also love the fact that this DJ has some good taste in fashion.
