Benjamin Dube wows Gaborone

This weekend saw Reverend Benjamin Dube as one of the main acts at the UB arena hosted Rise Up with Spirit of Faith 7 concert alongside the likes of Phempheretlhe, Joel Ketumile, Suggie Fisher and Mmatema.

Batswana came out in droves to witness the praise and worship singer who they've been literally begging on social media to come spread the Lord's Gospel this way.

โ€œBotswana is more like a second home to me. It really is no different from South Africa that is why we always feel safe here."

Gospel music has to be one of the most consistent genres around since the inception of music, and it's use as a mode of worship, but there are a mere handful of artists who can bridge the generational gap when it comes to Gospel. That is to say, not just any artist can be revered by both young and old Christians except maybe the likes of Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Joyous Celebration and Benjamin Dube.

Reverend Dube has to be one of the busiest artists around and it was truly an honour for him to pass by our little corner of the world and bring his band and sons with him, three of whom have formed their own group and followed in the footsteps of Reverend Dube and their grandparents, Benjamin Dube Senior and Pastor Grace Dube.
