Yarona Fm is known for housing big and reputable names like Loungo Adre Pitse, Scar and Tumi Ramsden and none of these talented radio sensations have never lived long to enjoy their on air talent. Even so, whether some left amicably with their station managers or not, it is always controversy after controversy.

Listeners complain of presenters that always changed every two minutes. They have also cited out that they are not happy with how talented presenters they loved and have come to bond with on air suddenly disappear from the station. Some even said it is no longer Yarona Fm but Yalona Fm. Which suggest that the station is no longer in the interest of its listeners but their own interest.
While some have attested to the fact that Brando gave them the best mornings ever on Radio, some have decided enough is enough. The listeners are not happy and can no longer keep up with what Yarona Fm is doing. In his time with Yarona Fm Thato Matlhabaphiri also known as Scar was suspended from Yarona Fm after an argument with a fellow co-host Boineelo Hardy.
This was despite the fact that the two shared a very special bond on air. He later kissed and made up with the station. Even though he had to leave permanently and this time around fans were not buying it and came up with a hash tag dubbed ‘bring back Lebadi’. They boycotted their Facebook posts and demanded that they return Lebadi. This however did not yield any results as the motswako sensation was not even returned to the station.
Recently, they took to their social media pages, to announce the end of their long time radio show known as The Big Breakfast Show. This announcement left listeners vexed and emotional over the news. It was one of the most refreshing morning shows in the country.
Boineelo Hardy terminated her contract with the station in early May 2022 and has been serving her notice. Yarona FM is in talks with Brando Keabilwe regarding a potential role as a contributor on a new breakfast show that launches August 1 2022. Lebowa Moroen aka LB, remains as part of the upcoming new breakfast show.
We express our gratitude to the outgoing hosts Brando Keabilwe and Boineelo Hardy for making the The Big Breakfast Show a key part of your morning routine. Both Bo Hardy and Bad Boy Brando will use the remaining days of July to bid you farewell and The Station wishes them the best in their future endeavours.
More details on the new team, which starts on August 1 2022, will be shared in due course.”
However, Yarona Fm has done soo much in recognizing and celebrating local talent, especially those in the music industry. They have been hosting awards know as the Yarona Fm Music Awards (YAMA). They have done well in pulling together stars in one room and celebrating them.
