The Fergusons are known for producing hit telenovela The Queen, which has had some controversial exits from some of the show's top actors bringing into question how the Fergusons treat their talent.

After a report by Sunday World revealed that Dineo Langa who portrayed Kea, was shown the door after asking for a hiatus to shoot a film, the Fergusons once again found themselves having to explain themselves.

Showrunner Laura Nell denied the allegation that Dineo Langa was given the boot.

"Dineo's contract was not terminated. She is still on payroll until the end of May. Dineo was released to go and shoot her movie. Scripts had to be rewritten to accommodate this as she was on an 'A' storyline. She was scheduled to return in April, but due to the lockdown, everything has changed," she told IOL.

KeKe Mphuti is said to not be returning to Unmarried, she had openly spoken about the trauma she experienced after being fired from The Throne by Ferguson Films for allegedly being pregnant.
