On Friday, one of South Africa's biggest acts invited guests to an intimate performance in collaboration with Red Bull Music and Universal Music. The Music. Love. Art Exhibition at Kalashnikovv Gallery was where attendees were treated to an exclusive viewing of his SMA Music Video Trilogy and a live performance of Strings.

The venue was an art gallery in Braamfontein, a very deliberate choice by the rapper turned YouTube sensation. The venue was chosen because Nasty C wanted to also showcase his hand drawn art work on the walls of the gallery. "I started sketching even before I started rapping, so maybe around 6-years-old", Nasty revealed during an on stage interview before the show. "I wanted to show you guys [my fans] another side of me, another side of my artistry." His art work includes a portrait of his girlfriend, Sammie and 3 other illustrations of characters he imagined.

Nasty C also shared a bit on all those international collabos he's been teasing. "I honestly couldn't believe it", he shared excitedly. Unfortunately, though, he isn't allowed to spill all the tea as yet.

After the interview, it was time for Nasty C to bring out a pianist and a string quartet to play live renditions of select tracks off of his highly successful album, Strings and Bling. He played the title tack and the latest single, SMA. You may have seen a glimpse if you follow us on social media.

After the show, the fans took over. Word got out that Nasty C was in the area and university students from Braamfontein made their way to see their fave in person. Fans waited patiently outside - trying to get a sneak peak of the private performance through the window - until it was time for the premiere of the SMA Trilogy.  The crowd sang along as they watched the videos play on the huge billboard above that iconic Juta and De Korte street intersection. The vibe was undeniable! So undeniable that the police shut the whole thing down.
