Mzansi's Queen Of Kwaito Mshoza Has Died

The entertainment industry in South Africa is reeling following the untimely passing of Kwaito legend Nomasonto Maswanganyi, affectionately known as Mshoza.

News of her passing was confirmed by her close friend larger-than-life TV star Khanyi Mbau and messages of condolences and tributes have been pouring in. The reality show star did not divulge circumstances surrounding her cause of death but the family is yet to release a statement.

"REST IN PEACE MY LOVE . I am tired 2020," wrote Khanyi. The singer passed on in a Johannesburg hospital this morning, 19 November 2020. Earlier this year, Mshoza allegedly contracted the Coronavirus.

Mshoza hogged the headlines with her multiple cosmetics surgeries which she trended for on social media. The singer experienced her ups and downs in the music industry but she managed to stay relevant to date and made a comeback with her song "Abantu bam."

The singer started singing at the tender age of 10 and started dancing for kwaito group, Chiskop between the years 1998 and 1999. She signed her very first deal in the year 1998 at the young age of 15.
