Mpho Sebina took to her Instagram account to announce that she has been selected to be on the MTN Bushfire music festival line this year. The excited artist went ahead to thank the Most high, Jah, for her recent achievement. She was joined by her fans who ushered in their congratulatory messages as well as other celebrities like Samantha Mogwe and Just Karun a Kenyan artist.

This festival will see our girl Mpho, share the stage with top African artists like south Africa’s Sun-El Musician and the English Urban Music award for the Best Jazz act winner, Nubya Garcia. As it stands, Mpho is the only artist representing Botswana at the festival. This girl is mapping our country in the music industry. Congratulations and thank you Mpho!

This win comes days after the news that she will be performing at the Amapiano awards set to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre. Once again, Mpho will be the only artist from Botswana performing at the event. What a flex!
The artist will share stage with some of the finest talents in the industry including Sir Trill, Zuma, Dj Foclist and Mr Jazzic to mention but a few.
It is safe to say that our very own Mpho is getting to the prime of her career. She has recently been getting credited for her good work by fans and admirers around the globe. The most recent one was Dj Shiminza who endorsed Mpho’s 2017 album titled Neo.

Her 2020 album, Lora, was arguably the one that propelled her to recent success. The musician stated that the word Lora means to dream. She further explained that the album was dedicated to dreamers. Looks like she is living by her album; living and achieving big. It was after this album that she was featured with renowned South African artists Major League Djs and Abidoza in a hit song called Dinaledi. Moho also featured in the visuals of the Dinaledi music video. The video won the hearts of many having attracted 1.9 million views as it stands today. At some point, the video was the biggest dance song on Apple music leading at number 4.

The Major League duo Bandile and Banele also celebrated the work that Mphos is doing. “Working with Mpho Sebina was so amazing, we had a beautiful experience. We met online, we loved her voice, we messaged her about working together. We sent her a beat ad she sent us something back and that’s how Dinaledi was born.”

Due to the current Covid-19 associated pandemic, the music and arts festival is set to be held digitally this year. Music lovers are encouraged to attend the live stream, the organizers of the event are promising to make it feel like a physical event through experiences such as festival-themed zoom rooms. The event is scheduled for 24th September. It will be streamed on the MTN bushfire Facebook page and YouTube channel. Access to the platforms will be free.

So there we have it my people, please look out for the Live stream music festival and flood the platforms with your comments and celebration of our very own superstar Mpho.
