Marang Molosiwa Teases Upcoming Project

Botswana-born media personality, Marang Molosiwa, has something exciting to share in the next few days, and fans can hardly wait! In an Instagram post on Tuesday, 20 October 2020, Marang stated, “I’m REALLY excited for something BIG coming to our screens soon… Look out for The Home of Botswana’s stories! A GAME-CHANGER for the local content landscape!”. 

The upcoming project appears to be in collaboration with Botswana Fibre Networks, for their series, The Home of Botswana’s Stories. The post was also accompanied by a cinematic video which showed the landscape of a damn and water plants, found in the beautiful country. The collaborative partner also shared a post about it, claiming that all will be revealed on Saturday, 24 October 2020 on their social media accounts. 

Morang’s career is on a high, especially after she announced in August 2020 that she was the first Botswana-born television personality who bagged a role MTV Shuga. In a tweet she stated, “ It is with GREAT HONOUR to announce that I have joined the cast of @MTVShuga #MTVShugaAloneTogether as Bokang from #Botswana! The first casting from BW, on the series.”

Marang Molosiwa is best known as the host for Mantlwaneng on Botswana TV. The former child star hails from Serowe Palapye but grew in Gaborone. She later graduated in drama from the University of Pretoria as well as the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa.The 29-year-old shares her daughter with former Botswana soccer legend Dipsey Selolwane. The couple have been together for almost five years.

On top of her thriving television career, Morang is also the mother of one-year-old Nami, who recently celebrated her birthday. Nami celebrated her 1st birthday on Tuesday, 29 September 2020, and was doted on by her parents on social media. In an Instagram post which commemorated the day, Marang stated, “29/09/2019 at 17:59 we welcomed this angel girl of ours!" She posted. "It’s been a whole year since we were blessed with our beautiful Nami and we count those blessings every day. NamNam is the happiest baby we know, ever laughing, ever smiling. An absolute joy!"

Gushing over her beautiful daughter, Marang wished that she could have these moments forever. "We wish we could freeze these moments forever but each and everyday day with her is a priceless present for us."
