When Lerato Kganyago launched her Flutter by LKG brand with her eyelashes range, many raved about the smarts of the Metro FM personality for venturing into a business that many A-listers in the country did not venture into. Moreover, Kganyago has been clear that the eyelash range was not the only product she would produce under the Flutter brand.

To date besides the eyelash range, which initially had five ranges now has a sixth. The fifth eyelash range is titled “Serubele,” which means butterfly. Kganyago, who has always been a LGBTQI+ ally with best friends like the first gay music trio, Three Some; makes for one of the only mainstream media personalities that is inclusive of the aforementioned without the need to be reminded. Hence with the launch of the “Serubele” eyelash, the post explained that the eyelash was in honour of the LGBTQI+ community.
Moreover, another offering under the Flutter umbrella includes the Flutter eyelash shampoo. There was suggestion of Flutter hand-sanitiser but with the market becoming saturated we believe that is not going to happen. But the product that the Levis SA partner is most proud of and is continually working to grow and ensure has a community-service-initiative attached to it, is the Flutter sanitary pads.
The sanitary pads were launched last year towards the tail end of the year, and since she announced their availability, the newly wed- again star has worked on not getting the sanitary pads into shops to capitalised; but to young girls that have to use other unsanitary products like socks, old underwear and cloths or forfeit going to school because of their menstrual cycle.
Now it seems that everyone’s favourite Mother is ready to go-big-or-go-home with her latest Flutter sanitary pads campaign. If you have followed Mother on her socials, you would have realised that for the past months she has spread awareness on the menstruation, menstrual pains and the realities that are faced by women due to the having to go through monthly menstrual cycles.
But now the good sis is ready to launch what is currently known as the “End Period Poverty” campaign. Not much is known about the campaign except that it is set to launch on Friday, 5 February 2021. However, considering the work she has done already on the matter, her followers are already encouraged to support the kept-under-lock-and-key campaign, despite having no idea what the plan is and we are here for it.
