Jordan Moozy And Band To Perform At BotswanaCraft

Botswana’s very own Jordan Mozzy will be performing at the Botswanacraft music sessions in Gaborone, this time joined by his band ‘Honesty’.

The event which will take place on 12 September and is presented by Creative Africa, will see numerous local acts gracing the stage with their music. These including Maru-A-Pula, Marimba Band, Frostbite and the Bokomo Youth Choir.

“Music runs through my blood. Through this art, I seek to appreciate the world and hope that those that get to hear my work learn to appreciate themselves and those around them.” said the musician. 

The seasoned guitarist started off as a solo artists and topped charts. Now he performs with a band comprising of Seiko and Thabiso Mohlotsane, where Mozzy is a vocalist and guitarist. 

His first encounter with music was when he was 6 years old and performed at the school’s choir. He also committed to music classes where he became a regular attendee. 

The singer, songwriter, urban poet and instrumentalist has performed with some artists in the Botswana music scene including local rappers Marinade Buzae and Linken. 

His passion for arts, crafts and music is evident through his contributions for the culture as he is a volunteer at the House of Young, an arts and cultural education facility for young people between the ages of 3-23 years. 

In addition to his talents he does voice overs with the cast of The Sky Girls Radio drama called Motswaka Bae. 

A believer in giving back, he does his bit by giving back to the community he was born in by partaking in social movements like Who Am I founded by radio host Miss Geekays and the #NoPriceTag campaign by One Faith Swele.
