Born and bred in Botswana, Goabaone Bantsi also known as Zeus needs no introduction. He is famous for his hit song which features Stagga called ‘imagination’. It was one of the hit songs back in the day and it also introduced him to the music industry. The song was one of the hits that flooded airwaves and were a sing-along song. The Hip Hop artist, MC, and Businessman had the most successful career in the Hip Hop industry. He also released hit songs like ‘Back in the days’, ‘Gijima’, and ‘Champagne music’.
In one of the interviews with Tswalebs, he explained how his rap inspiration came about. “The liberation of self-expression in Hip-Hop was a natural attraction," Zeus explains how he and the genre connected. I felt that I could connect firstly with myself and then with the world around different subjects that fascinated me. The prospect of being able to make a living expressing both my ideas and amplifying sentiments others share is one I cherish and fight for daily." He said.
The entertainment industry in Botswana takes a lot of hard work to toil the ground. Zeus is one of the most talented rappers in the country, who in the past have released hit song after hit song. He is known for his rich vocal and smashing lyricism. He was the most loved artist back in the day. However, like many other artists, he suddenly stopped giving us some hot songs and was now focused on his show known as ‘Jam for Brunch’. This did not change the fact that many people love him and his songs. He was a hit.
Recently he has come out on social media hinting that he could be working on some song. This left us wondering if he is resuming his hip-hop career and if we will be treated to his good music. We missed his seeing him spitting bars and dropping hit songs. The former Rb 2 presenters seem to have made up his mind. We can’t wait to hear his new music.
His decision to take a break from the limelight is still unknown. Although he seemed to be having many other things keeping him busy, he made fans miss him. Like many other celebrities, he was under public scrutiny last year over his health issues and he put haters in their rightful place.
"It is with great concern that this morning, I woke up to find social media posts regarding my health. To see the spirit in which the news was conveyed was very shocking to me. I would like to thank those who are genuinely concerned and have reached out to me personally. I would like to state that I am in good health and do not suffer from nor have I been diagnosed with any terminal illness."
"The power of social media can be used for good and often we choose to use it to spread false rumors. I am a human being and as much as anybody else and I have family and friends, who have access to social media, platforms and I ask that you bear in mind that as well. They get affected by false and unfounded rumors
