She deserves every Award

If anybody's earned the right to be referred to as a Legend it's definitely Connie Ferguson. For most of us, there isn't an era in our life that doesn't have her face looming in the background - From her many years on Generations as Karabo Moroka to Mavis on Rockville and right now as Harriet on The Queen.

Connie Ferguson's journey has been a true testament to the power of purpose and perseverance. She's grown into herself and ridden the wave of transition through every stage of her life, and above all she's been brave.

It's hard to imagine the path she'd have taken if she hadn't been brave enough to marry Shona after the brief time they'd known each other but as they say, when you know, you know.  That decision has ultimately led us to some of the best TV we've had, as well as a love story for the times.

This weekend saw Glamour SA honouring Connie Ferguson for her contribution to the Film & Television industry and our overall emotional well being, to be honest.  Among some of the other recipients were Kefilwe Mabote, Dr Sindi Van Zyl and Doreene Morris.
