Not only The Fergusons lost a son, father, or uncle, the entire world lost too and everyone is grieving with the family. Today 27 August 2021, marks four weeks since the actor passed away and his wife Connie Ferguson has taken to social media to remember him.

Connie has been sharing bible verses on her Instagram account quite often lately and opening up about how she is processing her grief. She posted a cropped picture of her and Shona where she was standing behind him, accompanied with a bible scripture.

"For unto us a child is born, unto us, a son is given: and the government shall be upon his SHOulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
ISAIAH 9:6 Code Word PEACE.

Shona passed away last month at the Milpark private hospital in Johannesburg due to COVID-19 related complications and at his funeral service, his sister-in-law Atosie Pilane said he fought hard.

“Mr. Sho fought. He fought a very hard battle. And it seems like he had a plan for us as the family to prepare for us in the two weeks because my family turned into having so much faith. We prayed so much. That two weeks was like a turnaround for the family. There would be days where we would get to the hospital and we would see the nurse panicking and shaking. More or less telling us as a family that they did all they could and this is our time to say goodbye.

“Unfortunately, on the 29th around 23h50 after we had spent the day there. The saying we should rush to the hospital, we spent the whole night with him, until the next day on the 30th and around past 7, the doctor came and told us to keep doing what we were doing because he is now stable and looking better. We went back home and freshened up and as soon as we were done we got another call saying come back to the hospital. Unfortunately, when we got there the doctors told us that my brother had just left us.”

Ever since he passed on Connie hasn't stopped celebrating him. She recently took to Instagram live and shared what they used to do with Shona on Sundays.

She said, "Today is carpet Sunday. I miss my person. Every Sunday we'd just lie on the carpet and talk about everything under the sun or nothing at all. We'd just lie here and be with each other. I miss his physical presence so much but I feel in spirit that he is still with me.

May his soul continue to rest in peace.
