A podcast, by definition, is a collection of audio files, typically published in episodes, that are made available for streaming or downloading over the Internet. Most podcasts are free, and listeners can subscribe to their favorite podcasts and listen online or offline. Podcasts are generally speaking an alternative for traditional radio stations that repeat the same dull content over and over. With a quick search and the click of a button, one can now find and listen to anything they want, whether it's sports, news, stand-up comedy, or daily rants.
Podcasts are listened to for a variety of reasons. 74% of audiences tune in to learn something new, while others listen for entertainment, to stay updated, to relax, or to be inspired. Whatever the reason, we can't deny that the podcast craze has been one of the best things to happen to us.
Almost half of non-listeners say they don't know where to find podcasts, so in an effort to assist, we have compiled a list of some of our favorite Kenyan podcasts that we believe everyone should listen to.
