Tattoos are acquired for a number of reasons. Some people get tattoos to attract attention, as a form of self-expression, artistic freedom, a display of rebellion memoirs of loved ones or culture and traditions, addiction, or to identify with a specific group. Another common reason for tattoos is drunken impulsive behavior, which is why most tattoo parlors keep operating until the wee hours of the morning.

Celebrities are no exception. Some of our favorite celebrities are heavily tattooed, and their tattoos, like everything else in their lives, are critiqued and examined because of their social standing. We decided to put together a list of some of our favorite celebrities with the oddest tattoos.

South African rapper Keirnan Forbes, more popularly known as AKA, is at the top of this list. The multi award-winning musician adores ink, as demonstrated by all the art on his body. Although his tattoo designs are typically loved by his fans, we can see why some of his decisions have come under scrutiny over time. The rapper, a Manchester United fan, decided to honor his team by getting the club's coat of arms tattooed on himself. AKA recently debuted a new tattoo of Michael Jackson, who died in 2009.

Kelly Khumalo

Kelly Khumalo, a well-known vocalist, can attest to the fact that love can drive us to do insane things. She got her fiance's initials tattooed on her ring finger a few years ago. Their matching tattoos were adorable when they were dating, but their individual cover-ups after they split up make the most sense to us.

Emtee, a rapper and business owner, is also on the list. The lyricist appears to be a car enthusiast, as evidenced by a Mercedes symbol tattooed on his neck. Emtee was also one of the first Mzanzi rappers to get a face tattoo. At first, this bold statement was met with mockery, but fans grew to love it over time, and other hip hop artists followed suit.

What are some of the most bizarre tattoos you've seen?
