Shona owns Ferguson films, which has produced shows including The Queen, Rockville, and Kings of Joburg. The actor recently announced that Rockville will be returning with Season 5 and left everyone excited.

The show returned with a bang and had viewers glued to their small screens this past Sunday. The show features a star-studded cast including Shona, Connie, Enhle Mbali and this season came with new cast members who are already giving viewers goosebumps.

Avid watchers of Rockville took to social media to hail the cast and creators of the show for doing a sterling job. Mandla N owns Black Brain Pictures, a production company that produces Lockdown,  Side Dish, and Hola Mpinji. The director is also the brain behind a new TV show Diepcity which premiered last night.

Diepcity replaced Isibaya which got canceled a few months ago. The show features the likes of Thandeka Dawn King, Mduduzo Mabaso, Nozuko Ncayiyane, Kgaogelo Monama, Zikhona Bali, and Nompumelelo Vilakazi.

Fans took to Twitter to give him his flowers following the premiere of the intriguing show last night. Actress Zenande Mfenyane took to Twitter to hail him by writing, "Black brain has done it again! #DiepCityMzansi is tooo nice! I’m hooked! The acting, the scoring the cinematography."

A Twitter user pitted Shona and Mandla N against each other and said one of them will become Mzansi's version of Tyler Perry.
This has sparked a debate online leaving fans divided. Some feel they should not be pitted against each other as they are doing great in their respective careers whilst some felt the comparison with international stars is unnecessary.

"Why not say your Tyler Perry is going to be one of these crafted gentlemen. Normalize respecting your own and not come here with your wack tendency of undermining S.Ans and compare them with international superstars," wrote a fan.

Mandla N recently spilled the tea on working hard to become the next Tyler Perry in SA. Speaking to Daily Sun he said he is currently building TV studios. The studios are called Power Park Studios and they are based in West Rand.

"We’re building things I’ve used and needed in the 20 years I’ve been in the game. We’re still working on it and it’ll be bigger when we’re done with it.”

“We’ve done really iconic shows in Mzansi. Instead of hiring studios, we thought let’s build something we can constantly work from. So we struck a deal with Power Park Studios and they’ll manage it.”
