Sasa Klaas' Memorial Service Details Announced

Her friends and family are preparing to give her a beautiful and memorable send off

The memorial service details of late Botswana's queen of rap and TV host Sasa Klaas, have been announced.

Sasa's death sent shockwaves across the country this past weekend when the news of her passing was widely shared on social media and condolences have been pouring in to her family and friends.

The memorial service of the musician is set to be held in Gaborone at Malapo Piazza on 11 March 2021. Due to the lockdown restrictions, only 50 people will be allowed at the venue and it will be stream live as media houses are expected to cover it.

It is reported that the 27-year-old artist, died in a helicopter crash on Friday. Sasa Klaas was well known for her energetic personality on stage and unprecedented dancing and she is also Anna Mokgethi's daughter who is a  politician. In a series of tweets recently Vee Mampeezy took to social media to remember her and reflected on how she had a kind demeanor.

Vee Mmapeezy said she departed too soon and said he is heartbroken following her passing, "We will try even though we feel u went  2 soon, remember me and u share a birthday who am I going to celebrate my bday with this year Love u always  SASA .JESUS  knows all things RIP," he shared.

Vee also went live on his IG account yesterday to celebrate her life and he was in tears as he remembered her.

His fans, family, and media colleagues are also shuttered to the core following her passing and they have taken to social media to express how heartbroken they are and paid tribute to her.

Samantha Mogwe tweeted, "Sarona I am failing to comprehend all this and cannot even believe that this is real! Blessed to have known you, blessed to have worked with you! Your absence will be evident. Rest baby girl, rest."

-For many of us, we knew Sasa Klaas as a musical icon in Botswana that set the platform for someone like me and she was so much more than that to many more people. No matter who you are, death will never feel like something comprehensible. I'm still in shock since yesterday.

Her funeral details have not yet been confirmed and when they do we will share them in due course.
