Skeem Saam actress Pebetsi Matlaila, popular for portraying the character Mokgadi Maputla has taken to her social media to slam marriage. What's ironic about all of this is that her character on television is facing some marital troubles of her own.

"Bafwethu, a re no jolang mojolo ore nyese. It just seems like a whole different institution. She said.
"The marriage counsellors will tell you oh no. Nothing is to change from how you were when you were dating and to now. You can keep everything the same way. But botsisha a black person and they have nothing good to say about marriage."

The actress also revealed that she grew up believing that marriage is a beautiful thing.
"And I'm sitting there thinking it was a beautiful thing and growing up in a Cristian home I always thought, marriage is godly and God blesses marriage and it's what He wants for two people." At this point, Pebetse is still undecided about getting married.
"But now I'm conflicted. I'm seriously waiting on that one person who's going to come with a beautiful story like you see in the movies that just makes me say, yes this is what I want to do."
The star also shared that her partner has been asking her to marry him but she is still undecided. "How long has it been since he's been asking me to get married o him but I keep on telling him to wait because I can't."
She told her fans not to judge her because she is eating snacks in her bathroom - she just loves the lighting in there.
