In the wake of the this past week’s celebrations of her late husband, Jabulani “Hip-Hop Pantsula a.ka. HHP” Tsambo. Lerato had received a lot of social media appreciation posts for continuing to use her platform to ensure that the memory of the rapper that was part of pioneering the Motswako movement which has now become a fully-fledged hip-hop sub-genre and culture. The star and her famous friends including Cassper Nyovest used their platforms to encourage that new and old fans continue to listen to HHP’s music.
So it comes as no surprise that Lerato following the height of what is hopefully set to be annual celebrations in memory of HHP, reflected on the support she has received from friends. This week the star revealed her close connection to leading model and actress, Pearl Thusi. The two refer to each other as “wife,” with a friendship that extends far beyond the glitz and fame of the industry, but it is clearly deep rooted in something else.
The two reconnected so much that Lerato made a cameo during Pearl’s latest risqué fitness journey. The “Queen Sono” actress attended her first pole dancing class. During the session Pearl took her followers with her, and went to accept a video call request with Lerato. During their interaction the banter between the two made it clear that it is all love, and clearly Mama Pantha has more friends than just DJ Zinhle and Moozlie.
Therefore Lerato’s appreciation post could have not come at a better time. She started the open letter to her friends writing that, “I’d like to thank God for my friends. I have been blessed with some incredible people in my life that God has chosen for me.”
The PR guru clearly has a way with words because the more sis added to the open letter of gratitude she got deeper into our feels. It is no wonder there were so many tear-jerking moments that were a part of the letter.
One such touching moment in her post was her writing, “Thanks for the love, the hugs, the encouragement, support, loyalty, vibes, energy, spurring on, the advice, the sing alongs, the road trips, the air miles, the brunches, the bravery, the faith, the memories, the laughs, the solidarity and so much more.”
