Tswalebs previously reported that the actress’s daughter passed her matric with flying colours and now qualifies to study at any university of her choice.

Alicia Ferguson who is the biological daughter of Ferguson Films duo, Shona Ferguson and Connie also surprised her film-making parents when she wore a dress for the first time in 18 year, late last for her matric dance.

The Queen actress took to social media recently to congratulating Alicia and said she thrived, despite the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, which saw all students suffering.

The actress captioned her daughter’s dance video:

"One of my greatest gifts and joys in life are my children, and my deepest wish for them above all else is to be happy! 2020 was a challenging year in every way to say the least, and I am just in awe of the achievement of the class of 2020 against all odds! Watching Alicia bravely face the unknown (COVID-19) to go to school to write her matric exams, each day coming home hopeful that her best was good enough, made me realize that we are raising a generation of warriors and leaders! The 98.07% pass rate of the class of 2020 is a testament to that! What a time to behold!"
She further tagged her daughter, posted a video of her in a matric dance dress with: @ali.ferguson To say I’m proud of you is an understatement! Congratulations my baby girl on your success, a pass in all your subjects! Your hard work and resilience has paid off! Now you can study for any degree you want! The world is yours to conquer! As your family, you have our love and support now and always."
The actress also supported matrix who didn’t pass matric in 2020 and encouraged them to re-rewrite: "To those who were less successful, please consider rewriting subjects you feel you can improve your marks on. The worst thing to do right now would be to give up! Hope is never lost unless you stop trying so DON’T STOP! I wish you all the best for the future!," she conclude
