Shona Ferguson's widow Connie Ferguson has been gathering the strength to do what they did with her husband on Sundays and we honestly just need the strength she has, she is doing such an amazing job navigating life without her other half.

She took to Instagram to share with us the scriptures she was reading for her carpet Sunday. She said, "#carpetsunday you are my hiding place. You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7 “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.” Psalm 34:19. Take your troubles to the Lord, whatever they may be, and thank him for his promise to never leave nor forsake you. Glory to God.🙏🏾❤️"

With everything that is going on in her life, Connie is finally ready to grace our small screens again following a month's break. This comes after the tragic passing of her husband Shona.

The Queen cast welcomed her with warm hands and we love to see it. She posted a short clip of her office where there were gifts on the table and decorations from the cast and crew of the show. We are glad that even though she is still in the mourning process, she is ready to hit the ground running again and make her husband proud.

The actress thanked The Queen team for the warm welcome and said she is delighted that they are walking this journey together again.

"Team #thequeen #fergusonfilms I love you all so much! Thank you for today. It’s good to do what you love knowing it’s for a purpose bigger than yourself. I’m grateful that we continue to walk this journey together, and all our wins and victories are to the glory of the almighty God. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Her return has many in their feels because some viewers were already complaining about the show's boring storyline. Tweeps suggested that she must return back. Some even said the show should go a production break if the storyline is still dull. Connie has finally headed their call and soon she will leave them on the edge of their seats.

On the 30th of August, Connie said Shona's passing still feels unreal and shared a word with those who have lost their loved ones, "Exactly a month today and it still feels surreal. It’s always been said that LEGENDS NEVER DIE! Only now do I really understand that saying and appreciate the following verse in a way I haven’t really before;

Revelation 21 : 3-4 “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself Will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

May everyone who’s lost a loved one find comfort in God’s promise, cherish the earthly memories lived, celebrate the legacy left behind, remain steadfast in mind and be kept in perfect peace, because they TRUST IN THE LORD."
