Shona touched the lives of many people and they crafted such an inspiring love story with his wife Connie Ferguson. The actor passed away on Friday due to COVID-19 related complications and he leaves behind his wife, two daughters Lesedi and Alicia Ferguson, and his grandson King Ronewa.

Connie recorded a heartfelt tribute to her husband that brought everyone to tears.

“My skatie, my love, hi, sho fede my laatie, never in a million years would I have thought i would be in this position that I am today, speaking as I am today without your physical presence. Sho', I thought you and I were going to grow old together. That's what I saw, that's what I saw for myself and for us. That's always been the dream,”

“I never anticipated where we are today. God brought you into my life 20 years ago, and the 301st of July would have been 20 years we met each other and I anticipated another 20 years with you.

“I remember when we'd see elders at Cresta Mall walking while holding hands. We'd look at them and go, 'look at us at a couple of years, and we would hold hands if we weren't holding hands already. I nursed you for 28 days to be specific I have never known anyone as strong as you Sho"

I'm hurting right now, my heart is bleeding. I was not ready for you to go, the girls were not ready for you to go. When you became sick. We've always been a praying family but I don't think we've ever prayed so much in our lives, we prayed and believed God for your healing. Every time we went to see you we would pray for you"

"I can't imagine my life without you Sho', the past couple of days have been almost like a dream. I feel like I am dreaming sometimes. one thing I know for sure my love is that you are walking with the Lord and you have been preparing for this day all your life.”

His daughters Lesedi and Alicia also paid tribute to him and described him as a loving father who taught them to work hard and love unconditionally.

May his soul rest in peace.
