HHP's family has released a statement regarding his passing. It read:

"It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that Jabulani Tsambo, known to his fans as Hip Hop Pantsula passed away today, Wednesday, 24 October 2018.

"At the time of his passing, he was 38 years old. He is survived by his wife, his parents, two sisters, his son and nephew."

According to SowetanLive the star was found by his housekeeper at his home after his wife Lerato Sengadi couldn't reach him and asked her to check on him.

Speaking to the publication Thabiso "Thasman" Tsotetsi said that after his failed suicide attempts in 2015 he believed that HHP had bounced back and was in good spirits.

The community at large is currently mourning a man who seemed to have been a light to all those who came into contact with him.

The cause of what could have triggered this slump is as yet only speculated upon, but many artists have come forth to discuss the toll the entertainment industry takes on one's mental health.

Salamina Mosese said, as well.

Oskido had this to say.
