The media mogul said every Sunday they would lay on the carpet and talk about anything underneath the sun or just relax. Connie said she misses Shona's physical presence but said she feels his spiritual presence around her.

"I miss his physical presence so much but I feel in spirit that he is still with me. I haven't had the guts to lay on the carpet since Shona got sick and leading up to his elevation to glory. I just didn't think I could do this alone," she said.

The actress shared a quote from the Bible which reads "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him because he lives with you now and later will be in you.”

In her sermon, Connie spoke about how sometimes our plans are not our plans, and said even if things do not go our way we have to be fearful and have faith.
Connie said since Shona got ill and elevated to the glory she hasn't had the guts to lay on the carpet like she used to with her person before. She praised God for the supernatural strength she bestowed upon her because she is now able to lay on the carpet.

At his memorial service, his wife Connie Ferguson said Shona was not celebrated enough in the industry when he was still alive.

"Mr. Ferguson was the most underrated actor in this country, as a performer and artist, I don't think we appreciated him enough.  I think we are showing appreciation to him now that he is gone and we are realizing that we didn't appreciate him enough. But what I am grateful for is that I can feel that this angel was loved by many."

She also assured everyone that Ferguson Films will continue to excel in the industry. "If you think Fergusons Films is great, it is going to be greater because that is my husband's legacy and it is going to continue growing from strength to strength"
