Daniel has gotten tongues wagging once again after he took to his Facebook page to shade the country's president Mokgweetsi Masisi.  This follows after he shared a picture of Masisi holding the newly discovered diamond that has been circulating on social media.

According to media reports, Botswana has unearthed the world's third-largest diamond. The stone has been on everyone's lips lately as it is the first of its kind in the world.

Daniel shared a picture of Masisi holding the precious stone and shaded the president saying now that it is in his house the citizens can forget about the diamond "Forget about it!! Lebalang!! Diamond found in the refuse bin already at Masisi’s house. Is he implying mpre?

His followers reacted to his post and weighed in their two cents.

Kefilwe Tuelo commented, "Botswana is not doing us any good only a  few benefits from Botswana."
Nsumiwa Alakanani commented, "In Botswana, the rich will be richer and the poor will always support and clap hands for while their stomachs are empty."
Tlotlo Cj commented, "And the poor continue clapping their hands."

Daniel recently got slammed after he posted a screenshot of a Facebook post shared by Kealebofa Sefakao where the Facebook user was advising people to condomise but spared controversy with his caption which reads, “Guys condomise  batho baya SA every weekend mme gaba bereke”.  Which in translation means, “Guys condomise because people go to South Africa every weekend, they do not work”.

Facebook users criticized him for sharing the screenshot with the caption " “NO PEACE! VAYOLENSE!!"

“ That is wrong advice. The advice should be guys protest so Masisi opens up the economy re bereke, re dire madi and spoil batho ba lese go ya SA. Batho baya SA coz Botswana's economy is on standstill and we can't keep up with our responsibilities demands, hence people go to SA to find something fends for themselves. The entertainment industry is closed. The sport economy is closed. We can't do expos and fairs. Imagine how much that affected our people
Open the economy. Covid-19 is here to stay. What we need is for people to take care of themselves and actively participate in the economy. Forget about condomising and open the economy”

Masisis has also been trending after they allegedly appointed Steve Harvey's company at the Department of Broadcast Service (DBS) on a three-year contract to work with them. The government has received backlash for ditching Botswana creatives for the world-renowned entertainer.
