Nonetheless, he believed in himself so much that he sold some of his belongings - Timberland shoes, phone and his CD player - in order to raise funds to kick start his music career. Through this, he was able to record his first song.
Vee Mampeezy’s first song, he says, opened doors for him. It even secured him sponsorship from Yarona FM. In 2001, Vee released his very first album Pompa Tswidi. Out of all the Vee Mampeezy old songs and albums, his second Lamalanga, released in 2002, is what catapulted him to fame.
In 2016, Vee Mampeezy collaborated with South Africa’s biggest stars for some of his songs. Vee featured Dj Maphorisa and Dj Buckz on the song, Sele.

As per Vee’s wife, the dramatic turn of events that took place as the couple ushered in the new year, was the result of her husband’s insecurities about their relationship. Kagiso further said that the incident led to police intervention.

Another album of his that never saw the light of day was his unreleased music in 2018. Vee lost it as part of a CD at Lobatse during the Maitisong Festival event. He even offered a P10,000 reward to anyone who would find the CD and return it.
